The 2022 NBA Draft - Introduction

June 23rd, 2022, the NBA draft for next year has been selected from picks 1-58. This year's picks only

went to 58, as Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat lost secondround pick for violating the NBA's tampering rules during free agency.

As a result, Orlando Magic selected Forward Paolo Banchero from Duke University as

the number 1 pick of the NBA Draft. Chet Holmgreen,

the 7’0 player from Gonzanga, got drafted by Thunder as the number 2 pick.

Lastly, The Houston Rockets selected Jabari Smith from Auburn as the number 3 pick of the NBA Draft.

Overall, This first round draft class this year is stacked, you have many young players that are versatile

on the offensive and defensive side, you have several players that are tall (6’8,6’9),

and you’ve got young players that are projected to be a star in the NBA.
