Who will be the ROTY This Season? (Part 1)

When the Rookie Draft was released to the world, many NBA fans were speculating on who would be

the best pick in the draft (ROTY), some were wondering why certain rookies placed in particular

rankings, and some were even having discussions on who will have the best career amongst all the

rookies.

In this Blog today, I will be determining who will have the best chance to win the ROTY, primarily

based on College Statistics, Skill level, Draft pick rankings, and certain other aspect of the rookies

game that stands out compared to other rookies

Who will be the ROTY this season? (Part 1)

According to College statistics, Summer League Statics, and rookies being socially compatible with

teams, the ROTY of the year will most likely go down to the odds of Jalen Green, and Cade

Cunningham, with Mobley, Scottie Barnes, and Jalen Suggs making good odds as well to win the

ROTY.

Jalen Greens G League Statistics:

32.0 MPG, 18 PPG, 2.8 APG, 4.1 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 46.1 FG%

Based on these statistics, He is primarily an efficient scorer from the arc and from inside the rim.

Additionally, he has very efficient field goal percentage (46.1 FG%), which is more efficient than many

of the draft picks on this list. Most NBA fans can easily tell Jalen Green is pretty well rounded

defensively from the perimeter, getting steals mostly every game. With these statistics, it is not

surprising how he made it to the Number 2 pick of the NBA draft.

Jalen Green is an athletic versatile guard, who can efficiently get a bucket anywhere on the court, and

is very efficient in catching lobs and dunking. Moreover, he is able to create his own shots beyond the

Arc, and is very skilled at creating shots for himself due to his remarkable athletic capabilities.

I think Jalen Green would work great with Rockets this season and especially DJ Augustin. I can

already imagine DJ Augustin throwing up lobs for Jalen Green, and Jalen would throw in down,

making Rocket Fans feeling great again after the departure of Russell Westbrook and James Harden.
