Who will be ROTY? Part 2
When the Rookie Draft was released to the world, many NBA fans were speculating on who would be
the best pick in the draft (ROTY), some were wondering why certain rookies placed in particular
rankings, and some were even having discussions on who will have the best career amongst all the
rookies.
In this Blog today, I will be determining who will have the best chance to win the ROTY, primarily
based on College Statistics, Skill level, Draft pick rankings, and certain other aspect of the rookies
game that stands out compared to other rookies.
Who will be ROTY this season? (Part 2)
As continued from the last blog, According to College statistics, Summer League Statics, and rookies
being socially compatible with teams, the ROTY of the year award would most likely go to either Jalen
Green or Cade Cunningham, with Scottie Barnes, Evan Mobley and Jalen Suggs making close seconds,
and good odds to win the ROTY of the year as well.
Cade Cunningham's College Statistics:
35.4 MPG, 20.1 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.6 SPG
Based on these statistics, I can tell that Cade Cunningham possesses elite scoring capabilities, based on
the high PPG. Additionally, he is a great rebounder for a forward, and an elite perimeter defender based
on Cades' steals per game.
With Cade Cunningham's Wingspan and height, it makes him a elite forward and blesses him with the
ability to defend anywhere on the court, shoot over players, and drive to the paint with ease. He also
has great Basketball IQ too, he makes the right decisions in team plays and can easily run certain plays
most of the time. He can shoot from everywhere on the court, with the ability to shoot from deep,
midrange, and fades, which is very surprising for a 6 foot 8 forward.
With these abilities, Cade Cunningham can easily be ROTY if he keeps up good consistency and try to
not get injured.
